You found a company you like. The display looks great, and the price was fair. Then next November, you call to book again, and nobody answers. The line's disconnected. The company is gone.
It's more common than you'd think.
It's a Fair Question
Will your installer be there next year? It's worth asking *before* you hire anyone.
Unfortunately, not every Christmas light installation company is around for the long haul. The business is seasonal and competitive, and some companies come and go as quickly as the season itself. That leaves homeowners in a tough spot: they loved the work, but when they need help the following year, there's nobody to call.
Steve, the owner of Xmas Delights, has personally met with several homeowners who hired a Christmas light company within the last few years, only to discover it had gone out of business. You may have liked the work, but when you need a repair or a reinstallation, there's no one to reach.
Why Longevity Matters
— a section of lights stops working, a connection needs checking, a storm knocked over parts of your display. If your installer has vanished, you're left troubleshooting on your own, in December, on a ladder.
You want the same quality year after year. An established company can remember your home, your preferences, and what worked, so you don't start from scratch every season.
You want a relationship, not a one-time transaction. Working with a company that plans to stick around means you can book early and relax.
Longevity doesn't guarantee a perfect experience, but it's a good indicator that a company is committed to its customers and plans to be around.
